Barefoot University follows the forest school educational philosophy that takes a holistic approach to learning while incorporating STEM, community service, field trips, and nature-based activities. Their communities meet each week and offer nature-based sciences and outdoor skills. Their get togethers are child—directed and play-based risk that build self awareness and confidence which include practical nature activities that are hands-on and also branch off into other subjects of learning to align it all under our yearly rhythm. Their leaders help facilitate the meet-ups, but parents are their child‘s teachers!
Open houses are typically held the week of March 30th which will be listed when and where on our public Facebook group.

They offer a flexible approach to learning inspired by classical elements, presented in a structured environment. Their students study the same topics at all ages creating family unity. The whole family has a place at Catholic Schoolhouse: from the youngest toddlers in our nursery to our rhetoric level scholars.

ELEVATE Scholar-Athlete Leadership Academy is a Christ-centered homeschool co-op launching in Fall 2026 in Frederick, MD, designed to support and enrich middle and high school students through purposeful education, leadership development, and athletic excellence. ELEVATE partners with families to help students grow spiritually, academically, physically, and relationally, with a strong emphasis on identity in Christ, self-discipline, teamwork, and servant leadership. Families may choose for students to attend one or two days per week, offering flexibility to complement individual homeschool plans. A typical ELEVATE day includes athletic workouts, Bible study, academic classes, leadership training, and sport-specific clinics in basketball and volleyball. Through intentional programming, mentorship, and community engagement, students are challenged to pursue excellence with humility and to use their God-given gifts to positively impact their homes, teams, and communities.

To be a member of Four Seasons Secular Co-Op you must authentically share and respect their values and principles. FSSC is a parent-run non-profit. Their goal is to encourage lifelong learning and cultivate curiosity, empathy, respect, leadership and communication skills in their students and member families. We are a secular and inclusive family-led cooperative organized to create engaging learning opportunities and a warm community of fellow homeschoolers. At SCC, all families collaborate to provide classes for children ages 5-18 on Tuesdays and Thursdays in a space near downtown Silver Spring. All classes are facilitated by parent, caregiver, and/or student members. As a true cooperative, we have no paid staff. Registration fees pay for rental of our space and general shared supplies. We are not a school or a homeschooling umbrella. We are not a drop off program.
